Recruitment Notice

The Department of English Language and Literature of Yeungnam University (280 Daehak-Ro, Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk 38541, Republic of Korea) is seeking a qualified, English speaking Assistant Professor with qualification in Humanities area preferably in Linguistics and British and American Literature.

1. Job Title: International Professor of Education.

2. Qualification Requirements

- Foreign nationals (including overseas Koreans)

- A person whose native language is English and who has obtained a Master or Doctorate degree in a language area or country where English is the official language.

- Master’s degree holder with more than at least two years of university-teaching experience or Doctorate degree holder

3. Period of Contract

- September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025, Renewal every year after evaluation.

4. Teaching Load

- 12 credit hours per week across a 15 week semester in both the spring and fall semesters for a total of 24 credit hours per year.

5. Salary & Benefits

- Professors are paid according to Yeungnam University regulations

g. Copy of Passport / Alien Registration Card (front/back) (pdf, jpg, jpeg file)

h. Copy of personal photo (jpg file)

8. Notice

- If false information is found in the application documents, employment may be canceled even after confirmation.

- Foreign professors at the Department may be required to teach courses outside the Department when necessary.
