Park Chung Hee School of Policy and Saemaul (PSPS) held a graduation ceremony for the PSPS Class of 2022 on 22 August 2022 at Sapphire Hall, Chunma Art Center: the first in-person commencement in three years, as the previous two ceremonies were held virtually because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Yeungnam University President Choi Oe-Chool and PSPS Dean YI Huiuk attended to congratulate students on their graduation. At PSPS, 42 students from 19 countries earned their master's degrees. President Choi said in his congratulatory remarks, “The knowledge and capabilities honed at PSPS will lead regional development and innovation in your home country and become a driving force for contributing to human society. Today's graduation ceremony will be a new starting point for the unknown world.” Also, “I hope you will have the courage and wisdom to initiate the development of your region and country through the knowledge you have learned here. Furthermore, I hope you all become proud alumni who will lead the prosperity of the global community.” In his congratulatory speech, Dean Yi hoped the graduates would become true leaders who could contribute to their neighbors and society. He noted, “Be persistent in pursuing what you want to do and what you need to do” to accomplish a task. Mohamed Serray Jalloh, who gave the valedictory speech, expressed his gratitude to the PSPS faculty and staff and stated, “Be the Saemaul warriors; we have been trained to equally uphold the Saemaul core values: Diligence, Self-help, and Cooperation, plus the Saemaul global values: Sharing, Service, and Creativity”; “Believe in the Can-Do Spirit.”

PSPS, Cheong-do Rotary Club, Rotary International District 3700, and Gyeongsan Queen’s Rotary Club, also belonging to District 3700, have signed an MOU to promote the “Saemaul Globalization Professional Human Resources Training Project. Dean of PSPS Yi, Chairperson of Cheong-do Rotary Club Kim Byung-Soo, and Chairperson of Gyeongsan Queens Club Kim Eun-Joo met at Sapphire Hall of Chunma Arts Center on August 17, 2022. They agreed to bring together the capabilities of the three organizations to establish a cooperative relationship and contribute to regional development, poverty eradication, and shared prosperity through Saemaul Undong. Under the agreement, two Rotary clubs will provide 27 million won scholarships for PSPS students who will enroll in 2023. It is expected that students who have acquired academic knowledge and international development know-how of the Saemaul Undong through the "Saemaeul Globalization Specialist Training Project" implemented by the MOU will have synergistic effects if they pursue significant projects such as environmental preservation, education support, and clean water supply.

On 29 June 2022, PSPS hosted the 'PSPS Saemaul International Development Achievement Sharing and Admission Briefing' at the Korea Press Center in Seoul. About 30 diplomats from 21 countries, including ambassadors from eight countries, showed keen interest in nurturing talents for Saemaul International Development. From Yeungnam University, President Choi Oe-Chool, Dean of PSPS Yi Huiuk, IIDC Director Kim Ki-Su, and several other professors attended. The event was organized by PSPS, which celebrated its 11th anniversary, to share the achievements of nurturing talent and Saemaul international development projects and introduce the PSPS master’s degree programs to diplomatic envoys. The diplomats exchanged questions and answers with PSPS students who attended the event during the Briefing Q&A session and throughout the lunch break. Zambian Ambassador to Korea Wilbur Shimusa said, “For the development of Zambia through the Saemaul Undong, the role of experts and leaders in the field of Saemaul International Development is more important than anything else. In the future, the Zambian embassy in Korea will actively recommend PSPS to talented young people in Zambia.” Choi Oe-Chool, President of Yeungnam University, said, “The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) has been promoting the Saemaul Zero Hunger Communities project to solve the problem of absolute poverty since 2011. As seen in this case, Saemaul is a brand representing Korea's education and culture.” He also said, "I will contribute to overcoming poverty in the international community and common prosperity in the global community by sharing Korea's development experience and Saemaul Undong’s know-how with the world.“ PSPS Dean Yi said, "A consensus has been formed with foreign diplomats, including ambassadors, to foster talents in the field of Saemaul international development.”
